St. Louis, MO – Today the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) St. Louis District Office announced that Thorstein Holt, President of Holtec Gas Systems, LLC, is the 2022 Exporter of the Year for Eastern Missouri as part of the National Small Business Week celebration.

Holtec Gas Systems, LLC, was founded in St. Charles, MO, in 1999 to design and manufacture nitrogen generators. Holtec Gas Systems, LLC, has received SBA Express, Export Express, 504, and PPP loans which helped ramp up fabrication, hire more employees, and purchase a 50,000 square-foot building. Additionally, the company has been involved in the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) which has been crucial in launching the Mexican and Canadian websites for the company’s largest export markets. Holtec Gas Systems exports directly to 33 countries and indirectly through third-party vendors to even more markets.

Maureen Brinkley, District Director, SBA St. Louis District Office, noted, “I’m always impressed by the reach of Missouri companies. They export virtually every product or service imaginable to almost every country in the world. Holtec Gas Systems exemplifies the tenacious drive of Missouri exporters. Thorstein Holt has taken advantage of SBA loans programs and the Missouri STEP program, which is funded by the SBA, to grow his company and expand his reach.” Ms. Brinkley plans to present Exporter of the Year award to Mr. Holt in a small ceremony later this month.
